R2 Farm is a family-run farm located in Pinckney Michigan. We decided to start farming when we learned the truth about the world of factory farming. We wanted to know where our food came from, and we wanted to be a part of the process. In our research we came across one simple phrase over and over, “you are what you eat”. Not only did we want to raise our animals in a clean environment we also wanted to feed them the healthiest way possible. Raising happy and healthy animals was one of the things that we focused on the most.
What we were surprised to find is that we fell in love with the lifestyle, waking up and caring for our animals and just watching them grow brings purpose to everyday. We take a lot of pride in our farm and the quality of the products that we produce. We practice Rotational Grazing which allows our animals to have an endless supply of foraging material while also supplementing their diet with non-GMO feed that we acquire from a small Amish farm.
We started raising chickens and guineafowls and expanded to include turkeys and quail. Today our main focus is on our chickens, turkeys, and rabbits.
